Feeling Lazy

"My Beautiful Prince"

I felt so lazy all day. I knew that I had a lesson after work and I kept thinking that I wished that I could just go home and be lazy! The problem is that most of the time that is what I am! I knew once that I got out there I would be ok. It was just coming home and changing your clothes and hopping in the car and getting moving! I always look when I come down the long driveway to see where Albert is and he wasn't in the pasture which meant that "COWBOY T" had taken him in for me!(I have been having issues with going out to the gelding pasture, more about that at a later date) Thank you "COWBOY T!" I gather up all my gear and walk down to Alberts stall and there is that cute little face looking out at me! I love his little face, it brings smiles to mine!

I love to touch his nose! It feels like velvet and I could keep feeling it all day!

I love his beautiful, kind eyes! They mesmerize me! I love it when you can see him follow you!

I even love his dirty little feet!

I love everything about this beautiful little guy! And yes, I then felt very guilty for thinking that I didn't want to go out to the barn. Albert and I had a very good lesson today and it was so worth going out there for every second that I got to spend with him! It is so amazing what they give to you! My lesson today was more that just about riding!

I Was Tagged

#1 I have always wished that I was an artist or a photographer. I would love to be able to use my creative side that way.
#2 I love purses! Different colors, print, plaid, zebra,leopard, probably the bigger the better! But
I don't buy alot of them!
#3 Dusty Devoe and I both know that we saw witches when we were little! Even to this day I know they were there!
#4 I always wanted an older brother to hang out with!
#5 I have a really bad habit of staying up late and watching tv in bed and eating junk, thus the ten plus pounds I have put on!
#6 I really have five children! When Pony Girl was born I just knew for sure in my heart that she was mine!
#7 I love to work out in the yard, I find it very relaxing!
#8 I think that I have my fathers sense of humor!
#9 I am a loner, I don't need alot of people around me!
#10I covet anything western!

Thankful Thursday

Out of a horses mouth!

Here I was, in my nice cosy, warm and dry stall for the night with my dinner all ready for me, and who should appear but the person who thinks that she is mine! I wonder what kind of things she thinks that I am going to do for her tonight?

I think that I will stand here really still and let her brush me. Her routine is always the same! She always gives me one of those little treats that are supposed to taste like berry or apple. So I let her think that they are delicious! Then its time for the brush to come out. She must think that she is a massage therapist the way she takes that thing all over my body! She can't just use one, she has a whole bag full of little accessories! I always let my self get a little drowsy and sleepy eyed when she does my face so maybe she will think that I enjoy it! Then it's out with the spray bottle of girly scent. Doesn't she know that I want to smell like a stud!

Oh yeah, here we go with the saddle! Sometime she manages to get it on right the first time! Boy, I sure have her fooled when it comes time for the bit. She always warms it up first in her hands and I know she is thinking she will get it the first time. I just figure that she needs the practice so I scrunch my mouth as tight as I can and turn my head sideways! She thinks that if she puts a finger in my mouth that it just might help.I usually let her try at least three times before I let her put it in. It helps to build her confidence!

Then into the arena we go, where we need to adjust our attire again! She not only has to put all this fancy stuff on me she thinks that I might decide to be a bad boy and has to put one of those silly looking things on her head!


So what kind of work am I going to make her do tonight! I always just start off in a nice walk around the arena so she can get herself warmed up. After a couple of times around the arena I like to do my fancy little walk jog so I can really impress her! Then I figure she is really ready to work, so I break out into a trot so she can post! That will get her moving!

Now she thinks that I am going to show her how to do this trick!

Here we go again, posing for pictures! At least she did something with her mane!

I figure that I would really make her day special and give her a big smooch and hug!

Antique Travel

"TRUNKS, SUITCASES, AND CARPETBAGS"

Yes, Dusty Devoe, Sares and I went antique browsing again yesterday! It was a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon. Of course with the three of us looking for that special thing to take pictures to blog about, we each picked our theme! Mine was trunks!

Gone with the Wind is probably one of my favorite movies. Scarlet O'Hara was beautiful and sassy! I picture this beautiful black trunk at the foot of her bed with all the treasures from her many beau's!

This trunk looks like someone refurbished and added some faux animal skin!
The trunk below looks like it could be in grandma's attic full of old things!

This trunk looks very masculine and probably was used by a riverboat gambler!

A trunk with many compartment of course has to be used by a traveling actress!

I see this trunk being very worn and was probably used by a world traveler on to faraway ,exotic places!

These suitcases were probably used by a family vacationing to the shore!

These old worn bags traveled many, many miles on a steam engine out west with a schoolmaster on his way to a new teaching post!

A trunk with many compartments for a magician to keep all his tricks!

And last of all a trunk that reminds me of one that was at the end of my mothers bed growing up!
