My Journey As A Cowgirl

THE WIND OF HEAVEN IS THAT WHICH BLOWS BETWEEN A HORSE'S EARS

Arabian Proverb

Here I am, a little more than half a century old (well actually more on the upside!) and have started my journey as a cowgirl. Am I crazy? Call me crazy, I'm loving every minute of it. Every feeling of doubt, fear, and sense of accomplishment. My goodness, with each little thing that I do I ask myself- was that right? Is this right? Why am I doing this? Then I go to bed at night and everything comes together perfectly. The man of my life comes into my dreams!( Now I'm sure my cowboy is thinking that this is him!)
"Albert" The little dappled gray Arabian Western Pleasure horse that I have been so blessed to be able to lease.
We lope through the fields and wide open spaces in perfect harmony. The breeze blowing in my hair. Our souls are one! But then I wake up and the nightmare begins!
I have a lot of work to do. My Albert is a very kind and gentle soul and has a lot of patience with me. He knows that he has so much that he can teach me. So my little Prince Albert, I am finding myself totally enthralled by you! I can see in my dreams the hope of learning to" DANCE" with you!

The horse, with beauty unsurpassed, immeasurable stre
ngth and "GRACE" unlike any other, still remains humble enough to carry a man upon his back.

  1. I am so happy you found Albert to guide you through this new journey you are on. It takes a lot of courage for those of us that start the horse crazed world later in life. He is a good partner for you...to dance with!

  2. Glad I got to see you with Albert tonight. You seem really comfortable with him. I know if Paint Girl saw him she'd want to scoop him up and start showing him, hee!
I hope I got some good pictures for ya, too! :)

  4. I can picture us riding together on the trails: you and Albert and me and Okie. He is sure a handsome lad! I love his gray - it's probably like silver in the sunshine! He has that kind, sweet face and looks like he loves the attention you give him. I am really looking forward to seeing more pictures of him and then, i am looking forward to coming over to meet him.
Ride 'em, Cowgirl! Happy Trails, dear Cousin.
